Dry Flue Gas Desulfurization
Dry FGD - Flue Gas Desulfurization
Ducon supplies Semi-Dry Removal (SDR) type Dry FGD Flue Gas Desulfurization Systems for removal of acid gases which require very little water. The SDR systems are custom designed to absorb gaseous pollutants, like SO2, HCl, HF, and others utilizing a spray dryer and a baghouse filter.
Ducon's specially designed air atomizing nozzles spray the liquid reagent slurry into the spray dryer for high efficiency removal of SO2, HCl, Mercury and other toxic components from flue gases. The slurry is evaporated and turns into reaction products which are collected downstream in a baghouse filter. Ducon's SDR system provides very high on-line availability, low maintenance and low operating costs. Ducon's SDR FGD can achieve over 99% removal efficiency.
Dry Circulating Reactor (DCR) FGD Systems
Ducon provides Dry Circulating Reactor (DCR) FGD Systems using lime and other dry reagents to remove sulfur dioxide, acid gases and fumes. The reagent is added in a recirculating type reactor with separate water spray for higher absorption efficiency. The dry reaction products are then recovered downstream using a bag house filter. Ducon's DCR FGD Systems are able to achieve over 90% SO2 removal efficiencies. Dry reaction product can be recycled for greater reagent utilization. Ducon also provides dry injection systems that inject reagent ahead of the baghouse for applications with lower acid gas removal requirements. Dry injection systems can used with activated carbon to remove dioxins and mercury.
